Curling is a team sport with similarities to bowls and shuffleboard, played by two teams of four players each on a rectangular sheet of carefully prepared ice. The highly accomplished 2009 U.S. team consists of 20 Olympic medallists, 28 World Championships medallists and 10 American record holders.

Reigning world champions include Tyson Gay, who will look to defend his world 100m and 200m titles.
